7th Chakra - Crown
Lavender
Tulsi (Holy Basil)
Valerian Root
Sage
A couple of great teas by Traditional Medicinals that I like for the Crown Chakra.
Sleepy & Relaxing
For your relaxing options, I have Chamomile Lavender or Nighty Night (which is their Valerian Root tea). You can also find other brands that carry these, I personally stick to what I know. Traditional Medicinals is all organic and the herbs truly feel in alignment with my body.
Energetic & Vibrant
Tulsi Ginger by Traditional Medicinals - this one is GREAT in the mornings!
Alternatives to Tea
You can make a Lavender Oil for popcorn, add lavender into a dessert, latte or morning oats or quinoa. How about some lavender lemonade?
Personally…I love a good Lavender Coconut Drizzle for my pancakes, mmmmm!
This is where you get creative!

Mint (my personal favourite)
Mugwort
Rosemary
Lavender
5th Chakra - THroat
Eucalyptus
Peppermint
Lemongrass
Sage
Chamomile
My personal favourite
Throat Coat by Traditional Medicinals.
Peppermint is also a great option.
Pro Tip
If you’ve got allergies or a scratchy throat, you may want to consider swapping out Chamomile for something that suits your body.
I’ve got seasonal allergies and find that sometimes Chamomile tends to leave my throat a little scratchy - especially in the Summer time.
4th Chakra - Heart
Hawthorne Berry (great for a broken heart)
Jasmine (peaceful and calming)
Rose (self love, love and being open to love)
Basil
Chamomile
Marjoram
Peppermint, Spearmint or Mint

The heart chakra is associated with two colours
Pink and Green! I have included Chili Powder in here as I find it very heart opening due to the heat. I love Simply Organic’s Chili Powder mix, it’s amazing!
You’ll find a lot of these support multiple Chakras - Chili Powder being one of them! It’s a great one for the Root Chakra, which we will get to in a minute, I promise!

Even if you aren’t spiritual and don’t believe in this “stuff”, I guarantee you, you will feel so much more aligned, at peace and generally more “clear” if you explore some of these options. If you’d like a more logical perspective: Herbs and spices have been used for centuries and there’s a reason for that - herbal/plant medicine really works!
Welp, that’s my two cents.
5 Ways to Calm Your Shift (that doesn't involve smoke)
Five ways to calm and shift your energy when you’re in a pinch!
Five ways to calm and shift your energy, creating a higher vibration within your system that doesn’t involve incense or burning herbs. These are great, especially if you’re in a pinch!
#1 Shake your hair!
Literally give your hair a shake and you’ll feel much better!
#2 HEAD SCRATCHES
Gently give yourself some head scratches to release stagnant energy.
why so many things with the head and hair?
The powerful complexities of the mind are far too fascinating. One thing I know for sure, is that when i’m in an overwhelming situation or have personally felt overstimulated, these techniques really work. Let’s talk about the logical side of things first and then bring that information into the spiritual.
The logical aspect of things: Welp, we use our head and our mind a lot - even when we’re not thinking or thinking about thinking, we’re still thinking. Our mind is powerful and it’s running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. How else do you think we dream? Precisely why a good sleep is so important. Our physical mind may be “shut off” from information - however our subconscious state is where we do all of the dreaming. This is for another blog post though ;)
I hope i’m making sense so far, and that you’re still with me.
Alright! Now for the spiritual aspect of things: The head is where our Crown Chakra is located - where we receive and “give out” information. In order to keep our vibrations high throughout the day - especially during busy days - we have to take care of ourselves.
Shaking your hair around or scratching your head does wonders! If you’re into it and want more out of it - add some intentions into there!
A good affirmation or two goes a long way.
Let’s get back into it, shall we?!
#3 Essential oils
Essential oils are great for clearing energy and restoring your vibration. I always recommend having a couple with you and some at home. A personal trick I always use is smelling them before putting them directly on my skin - sometimes that honestly does the trick! But also… It allows me to “feel” into what my mind, body and soul need at this time. I don’t just pick willy nilly off the shelf.
Some quick suggestions
Sage Essential Oil (general/overall clearing)
Lavender Oil (if you’re feelin’ stressed out)
Peppermint Oil (if you’re literally trying to clear out a headache)
Frankincense (great for purification; I put this baby right on my Third-Eye!)
Cypress (great for clearing and uplifting all the vibes)
I recommend using therapeutic grade essential oils for best results.
#4 BREATHING
Close your eyes and breath. Allow the breath of life to move through you - with each breath, reducing anxiety, stress or the feeling of being overwhelmed.
As empaths, we experience a lot of feelings
Some of which aren’t our own. It’s best to check in and allow yourself to feel whether this is coming from you or that 8 hour meeting you just had. This takes practice, be gentle with yourself during this process.
The most important thing to note is…
All feelings, emotions and changes within our headspace (and body) are valid. Day to day we experience a variety of things, feelings and emotions - we go with the ebb and flow. It’s important to recognize these and know that this post is not about “fixing” you. It is about guiding you to a clearer path, where you can make confident decisions. I heard someone once say - can’t remember who now -
The more you meditate, the less likely you are to make a mistake.
and that shit stuck with me.
#5 MEDITATION
If you can escape, get away for a couple of moments, this can literally save your day from being a total wreck in terms of mental stimulation. I work in the design industry professionally - other than being a witch and a tarot reader…among other things.
do you think the bathroom is just used for number one’s and two’s?
Absolutely not. Many a time, i’ll walk in and spend a good 5-10 minutes breathing, crying, letting out whatever needs to be let out. It’s okay if people think you’re pooping, let them ;) Or hey, I might be on my cycle, not feeling so well and my diva cup just flew out of my vagina, so bare with me.
If you’re still with me, scroll down for a bonus tip!
BOnus: WATER
Placing your hands under running water really helps clear the energy. Good ol’ tap water will do the trick, especially if you set your intentions. If you wanna get fancy with it; Salt water helps clear negativity - you can either mix pink salt in some lukewarm water and pour that over your palms or stick your hands in the ocean (if you have that available). Alternatives would be a river or water charged by crystals. Any temperature that FEELS GOOD TO YOU will do.
Fun additional tip
Drinking filtered, mineral water helps gain clarity. To boost up all of the cleansing, DRINK YOUR WATER! In fact, you’ll probably need it and feel parched after releasing some stagnancy, and then before you know it… TIME TO RELEASE AGAIN, cause you’ll have to pee.
