My Fall Favourites
Just a few of my favourite things…
Fall is one of my favourite times of the year - we’re fortunate in Calgary to really experience EVERY season. That was not sarcasm 😅
#1 Cozy candlelit EVEnings
Whether it’s Netflix, a good book (which isn’t as common for me) or drawing on my ipad, I love, love, LOVE cozy evenings. One of my favourite things to do is watch witchy shows like Chilling Adventures of Sabrina or do a completely nostalgic turnaround with some good ol’ 90s Halloween movies.
#2 TEA, TEA, TEA and MORE TEA
I love making a good batch of homemade Chai, a warming lavender latte for the evening or enjoying some green tea during the day (which is new for me). One of my favourite teas during Witchy Season is Ginger, Clove and Cinnamon - Basically anything witchy and warming.
#3 Bakin’ up a storm
I love baking, especially during the fall - there’s something so wholesome and comforting about homemade cookies, baked bread, brownies or some crumble. I’ve recently been experimenting with keto and low sugar or no sugar baking and I gotta say, it’s been surprisingly delicious and i’m amazed!
I love all the warm smells filling up the kitchen, trickling down into the rest of the house
YOU KNOW SOMEONE’S BEEN MAKIN’ MAGIC IN THE KITCHEN
“I literally paused writing to bake some brownies”
#4 Halloween
I LOVE Halloween! Bring on all of the All Hallows’ Eve rituals and activities. I’m not a big partier but I love dressing up, watching something spooky, going to a small get together or honouring the dead.
Having my Birthday close to Halloween has always been a favourite of mine - pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns on all door steps, spooky decor, the smell of All Hallows’ Even in the air (I can’t fully describe what this is, but IT’S A THING!), and the feeling of Halloween. You know when it really feels like it? Ah! Tis the season!
#5 Rituals
What I think I look like doing witchy stuff
“Honouring the ones who came before us”
Oh, you thought I was joking about honouring the dead… Oh no, no, no, no, no. I take honouring those that have come before me very seriously. Honouring my ancestors, paying respects energetically and really being grateful for those that gave me life. And no, I don’t just mean my parents, I mean every ancestor that has contributed energetically to my life in some way.
What it actually looks like
#6 Intention Setting
I love setting intentions for the year ahead, this would be my “new year” ahead, if that makes sense - Basically from October 30th to October 30th. This is the optimal time to journal, set your intentions and look forward to another year of you. Setting goals, creating vision boards, meditating and manifesting your desires into reality, I AM ALL ABOUT IT.
#7 Warm BAths
I love setting up my candles, bringing some fresh or dried flowers into the bath, filling the tub with salts and on occasion, I bring in my laptop - either for meditation music or to watch some Netflix!
#8 scorpio season
What do I love about Scorpio Season? Welp! Scorpios are all about death and rebirth, SOME SERIOUSLY BEAUTIFUL transformation…and this is the one time where I either get to relax because i’ve completed the insane “challenges” before the season began (and get to watch all other signs freak out) OR huge transformation happens for me.
A lot of my transformational work actually occurs during the Summer time, especially during Leo Season and the Lion’s Gate, so sometimes I get a bit of a break before Scorpio Season, which is nice.
Scorpios are super attractors and powerful manifestors. It’s important to pay attention to your thoughts and ensure your worries are under control. Manifesting power is high and the full moon in October only amplifies that. I can definitely speak from experience when I say that my worries manifested - AT THE SAME TIME - I wouldn’t have it any other way.
At the time they were worries, RIGHT NOW I see it all as a blessing. The point is, intention and goal setting is HIGH during this season and WHATEVER is meant for you, will ultimately happen, regardless of worry. Anything not serving you will likely be blown out of your path, creating room for the new, the abundant, the creative, the magnificent and the incredible.
“What if i’m not a scorpio?”
You may not be! and that’s totally fair. Every season, planet and zodiac does affect us in some way. Your Sun sign may not be in Scorpio, however your moon or any other planetary placements may have Scorpio. If you’re on the cusp this can also heavily affect you, but we’re used to the transformations! We’re all set and good to go. We’ve done this before! It’s the other signs i’m “worried” about 😂.
I hope you enjoyed this blog! To find out your moon sign and any other planetary placements in your chart, head to the link below. You will need to know your Birth time, date and place (I hope you know your birth date 😉). The information and planetary placements may be inaccurate if you don’t know your exact birth time, this is due to the positioning of the Planets, Moon, Sun and Stars.
Happy Hunting!

7 Ways to Add Rainbows to Your Home
Love adding a good rainbow into the home! I’m always “secretly” looking for ways to add rainbows into my home that don’t include the Pride Flag.
Before you freak out, there’s nothing wrong with the pride flag, having pride or having this in your home. I personally like thinking and looking outside of the box with how I can incorporate these things into my daily life - basically screaming QUEER while also adding playfulness and fun into the space.
I’ve already got a flag on my bike as well as my car, time to get creative and find ways “around” the flag and enjoy these things on a daily!
ARE YOU WITH ME?
HERE WE GO!
#1 Crystal Prisms
Crystal prisms are also known as Feng Shui crystals. They bring balance into the home and also move stagnant energy out of the way, allowing your home’s vibe to “flow”. Hang them near a window for all of the rainbows! If you’re looking to move some stagnant energy out of the way, these work wonders in long hallways or around staircases.
This one does need sunshine in order to create the rainbows, however i’ve had some lucky rainy days where a touch of light does the trick!
#2 Rainbow windOW FILM
I haven’t done much research on this one, however as soon as I saw it, I fell in love with the idea! Constant rainbows in and around your space. I’m definitely the conscious type to ensure my home is as Earth friendly as possible. I’m not 100% sure these are - in the sense that they may not be recyclable - however they are static “cling” to your windows, meaning you can roll ‘em up if you ever move out or decide you want to change things up and put them in another room.
#3 RAINBOW Art
Find your perfect piece on Etsy! Can you tell I do a lot of my own shopping there? Whether it’s woven, painted or crafted out of your favourite wood, you can definitely find yours on Etsy - If you can’t, then i’m sorry, I lied.
On the plus side - there are a lot of cute, local shops that do carry rainbow items! Which only means one thing…time for an adventure!
#4 GLASSWEAR
Infuse your kitchen with rainbow magic! Have a couple of these in your garden, fill ‘em with lights or have them out on the table with fresh flowers. This is where YOU get to be creative!
#5 Rainbow Furniture
Have some fun, make it a DIY project! Strip down those old, bland, IKEA, wooden bed-side tables and paint ‘em rainbow! Throw some colour into the room.
Hey, hey, hey, i’m not knockin’ down IKEA - I’m saying, MAKE THEM YOU, make them unique!
There are a ton of awesome IKEA DIYs on Pinterest! I myself have a board filled with these.
#6 REPURPOSE YOUR OLD CDs
Have fun breaking some old CDs, creating a cool piece of art and hanging it where the sun hits!
#7 Crystals
What better way to bring positivity into the home than a beautiful crystal? 🤤
I CAN’T EVEN! There are a number of rainbow crystals, i’ll list a couple below with a brief description. The ones that catch your eye first, or the most ARE YOUR SOUL’S DESIRE. Happy Hunting!
Aqua Aura (Great for communication! Whether you want to speak at a conference or you’re connecting with spirit)
Angel Aura Quartz (Brings exceptional joy and happiness. I personally love this one for connecting with fairies!)
Rainbow Quartz (Brings in positivity and Hope)
Rainbow Moonstone (Great for connecting with the moon, your feminine side (we all have both, we simply express one more than the other in our outer world) or assisting you on your spiritual journey. Also a great stone during your menstrual cycle.)
Mystic Topaz (Soothing your inner aura as well as your surroundings, bringing peace, joy and happiness. Bringing emotional stability and awareness of self.)
Luna Flash (Open-mindedness, a “bright future” stone, Wishes come true!)
Opal (Freedom, Independence, Cosmic Consciousness, Stimulates Originality and Creativity)
Opalite (Improves communication, removes energy blockages and balances the chakras.)
Tips
Quartz crystals vibrate at an intensely high frequency, if you’ve got a lot of air in your chart (Aquarius, Libra, Gemini) these may not be the crystals for you. THESE ARE NOT THE CRYSTALS YOU’RE LOOKING FOR 😂 (Star Wars reference for those who didn’t catch it).
If holding them makes you feel “off” or “weird” they simply may not be the crystals for you and that’s okay! I don’t have too many of these “laying” around.
Try something a little bit more grounding and keep the fun rainbow stuff to the art, ceramics, paintings, and anything else your heart desires!
If you’re not one to believe in the “woo-hoo stuff” a lot of these crystals generally bring joy, happiness and benefits to the mind and body.
Believing in the power of nature
includes crystals, rainbows and all magickal things.
Happy Hunting & Creating!
